Update on the Gender Pay Gap

The BBC and Easyjet have headlined the news on the differences in pay between male and female employees.

It is important to remember that the requirement to publish annual gender pay gap data applies to all private sector employers with 250 or more employees and the deadline for the year commencing April 2017 is 4 April 2018. If the rules apply to you and you are not registered, it should be remembered that registration can take up to a week.

The data can be supplied via the Government’s online reporting service.

The reporting deadline for public sector employers is 30 March 2018.

The Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service’s guidance on gender pay gap reporting can be found here.

The site includes a variety of short helpful guides and a reporting template.
